Step 1: Start with clean, towel-dried hair.

Step 2: Shake your Magical Quick Dry Potion heat protector spray to activate the lightweight conditioners, then spritz your hair to provide heat protection.

Step 3: For the best results, use a diffuser to dry your hair fully. Our Airshot Pro hairdryer is perfect for the job. Find out how to get the best from your diffuser.

Step 4: On your Texture Wand, select your temperature using the temperature control switch. Temperatures range from 125-175°C. Style at lower temperatures for optimum hair health. Use the Temperature Calculator to discover the best heat setting for your heated styling tools.

Step 5: Wrap curls around the tapered barrel using the heat resistant glove to protect your hand. The barrel is infused with our signature healing mineral Seracite for optimum hair health. It works to seal the hair’s cuticle and lock in moisture for shinier hair every time you style. Hold in place for 20 seconds, then lift the barrel away from the curl.

Step 6: Work around your head in sections. 

Step 7: Use your fingertips to loosen the curls.

Can the Texture Wand be used worldwide?
If you want to use a CLOUD NINE product internationally, simply use a UK to EU or US plug adaptor. Please note that our products operate at standard UK voltage (220v – 240v), which means performance can be affected in countries that use different voltage levels. To maximise your success of styling on the go, we recommend checking your destination’s voltage before you make your trip.

What is the size of the barrel on the Texture Wand?
The barrel on the Texture Wand is 140mm long and 25mm wide. Both our Waving Wand and Curling Wand have larger barrels.

How should I store my Texture Wand?
Your CLOUD NINE Texture Wand can be long-lasting, provided it’s stored correctly. Only put your Texture Wand away when the barrel is cool and keep the plug away from the barrel to avoid scratches. Try not to tightly wrap the cable around your styling tools. Instead, gently loop it in the carry case. This greatly reduces the chances of wearing the inner wire, which is important because this kind of damage isn’t covered by warranty. 

Does The Texture Wand have an automatic switch off?
After 30 minutes, the Texture Wand will automatically start to cool down to protect your surfaces. To activate, press the Auto button. Once active, the Auto button will be lit up blue and will cut the temperature to your Texture Wand after 30 minutes (even if it is still in use). It’s important to note that the Texture Wand doesn’t have the mechanical function to tell if it’s still in use, like our hair straighteners.  If you don’t want your Texture Wand to go into hibernation mode after 30 minutes, press the Auto button to turn this off. 

Can I use the Texture Wand on short hair?
The Texture Wand is perfect for curly hair of all lengths. It’s great for short curly hair because its smaller barrel means you can create perfect tight curls. 

Can I create big curls with the Texture Wand?
The Texture Wand is best for tight curls. If you want to create big curls or waves, check out our Curling Wand or Waving Wand, which have bigger barrels to create bigger curls or curves.

What’s the difference between the Texture Wand and the Curling Wand?
The Texture Wand has a smaller barrel than the Curling Wand, so you can achieve different results with each wand. The Texture Wand is designed to create tight curls, while the Curling Wand’s wider barrel creates bouncy curls.

Can I use the Texture Wand for my Type 3 curls?
The Texture Wand is the ideal styling tool for touching up your natural type 3 curls, especially a few days after washing and styling.
