Step 1: Start with dry hair.

Step 2: Shake your CLOUD NINE Magical Quick Dry Potion heat protector spray to activate the lightweight conditioners, unlock the Magical Potion bottle by pushing in the clear plastic ‘lock’ button at the neck of the spray nozzle, then spritz your hair to provide heat protection.

Step 3: Section your hair and secure it with CLOUD NINE Croc Clips.

Step 4: The CLOUD NINE Touch Iron is a buttonless Iron that is controlled through tapping the plates together. Touch the plates of your CLOUD NINE Touch Iron together once to turn it on. The Irons will turn on at 195°C in the first instance, Tap the plates together three times to reduce the heat to 165°C and tap two times to turn the heat up to 195°C.

The Touch Iron will go into hibernation mode after 30 seconds of inactivity- this will be demonstrated by the Irons bleeping and the light and heat turning off. When coming out of hibernation mode, the Iron will return to the temperature last selected.

Step 5: Repeat section by section. The Touch Iron’s Floating Ceramic Plates are specifically created to care for your hair, not clamp. Expertly designed with Spring-Flex Technology™, the plates adjust when closed, cushioning the impact of styling and preventing split ends.

Step 6: Brush through your hair to smooth fly aways with the CLOUD NINE Luxury Dressing Brush and apply any finishing products to complete your look. We recommend a pea size amount of Magical Remedy through the mid to ends of your hair for a smooth high gloss finish.

How should I store my Touch Iron?

Store The Touch Iron straightener with care to maximise its lifespan:

• Try not to tightly wrap the cable around your iron. Instead, gently loop it in the carry case. This greatly reduces the chances of wearing the inner wire. 

• Protect your Touch hair straightener from scratches and chips by keeping the plug and plates apart. 

• Only put The Touch Iron away when it has fully cooled down after use.

It’s important to note that plate and inner wire damage is not covered under warranty, so care of these parts of your straightening iron is especially important.

How do I know when my Touch Iron is ready to use?

The Touch Iron is ready to use in an instant. Simply plug in and tap the plates together once to activate. Tap twice to select 165°C, and three times to select 195°C. The perfect heat in a touch.

Should the plates touch on my CLOUD NINE Touch Iron?

The plates do not touch together on the Touch Iron. We have created our floating plates to glide over the hair rather than clamping down to ensure that hair is not damaged. When your irons are switched off, there will be a slight space between the plates, even if you press them together. Once they are switched on, this gap will reduce and they will glide smoothly over your hair for snag-free styling.

Do CLOUD NINE Touch Iron straighteners turn themselves off?

Yes, after 30 seconds of inactivity, your straightener will turn off automatically to protect your surfaces. All style, no stress.

Is there an on/off switch?

No, the Touch Iron turns itself off when it’s not being used after just 30 seconds. You can turn it on by touching the plates together once.
