Step 1: Remove plastic 3 pin plug protector

Step 2: Unravel the twist ties that organise the cable

Step 3: Remove the protective heat guard

Step 4: Remove the clear protective film from digital touch pad

 TIP - start at one corner of the digital pad and gently lift it with your fingernail. Once you have a small section lifted, the film will come away easily and in one piece. Please see video for guidance.

Your Iron is now prepped and ready for use.

Step 1: Start with dry hair.

Step 2: Shake your CLOUD NINE Magical Quick Dry Potion heat protector spray to activate the lightweight conditioners, unlock the Magical Potion bottle by pushing in the clear plastic ‘lock’ button at the neck of the spray nozzle, then spritz your hair to provide heat protection.

Step 3: Section your hair and secure it with CLOUD NINE Croc Clips.

Step 4: Select your desired temperature using the arrows on the digital display screen. Temperatures range from 100-200°C. Variable Temperature Control provides a range of settings for a range of hair types. If you haven’t already done so, please complete the Temperature Calculator to discover the best heat setting for your hair type.

Step 5: Activate Revive Mode™ for smoother, long-lasting styling in any temperature setting by turning on the Iron and, once its reached the chosen temperature, quickly pressing the on button again. The plates will vibrate 8000 times per minute when closed together.

Step 6: Repeat section by section. The Wide Irons Floating Ceramic Plates are specifically created to care for your hair, not clamp. Expertly designed with Spring-Flex Technology™, the plates adjust when closed, cushioning the impact of styling and preventing split ends.

Step 7: Brush through your hair to smooth fly aways with the CLOUD NINE Luxury Dressing Brush and apply any finishing products to complete your look. We recommend a pea size amount of Magical Remedy through the mid to ends of your hair for a smooth high gloss finish.

Should I use wide-plate or normal straighteners?
We recommend using the Wide Iron wide plate straighteners if your hair is longer or thicker than most. The wider plates are ideal for capturing more hair at a time, and speeding up the styling process. We've fit more tech in. Now you can fit more hair in.

What are the benefits of a wide straightening iron?
Using a wide straightening iron makes straightening long and/or thick hair quicker and easier, as it allows you to apply heat to a wider area at once. The Wide Iron is designed with bigger plates. What size are the plates on the Wide Iron?

How should I store my Wide Iron?
Store your Wide Iron straightener with care to maximise its lifespan:
Try not to tightly wrap the cable around your iron. Instead, gently loop it in the carry case. This greatly reduces the chances of wearing the inner wire. 

Protect your wide-plate hair straightener from scratches and chips by keeping the plug and plates apart. 

It's important to note that plate and inner wire damage is not covered under warranty, so care of these parts of your straightening iron is especially important.

How do I know when my Wide Iron is ready to use?
Once the Wide Iron is switched on, the green light will start flashing. Once ready to use, it will illuminate steadily at 150°C. To select a higher temperature, press the button with the arrow facing upwards and wait for the temperature to adjust.

Should the plates touch on my Wide Iron?
The plates do not touch on the Wide Iron. We have created our floating plates to glide over the hair rather than clamping down to ensure that hair is not damaged. When your irons are switched off, there will be a slight space between the plates, even if you press them together. Once they are switched on, this gap will reduce and they will glide smoothly over your hair for snag-free styling.

Does the Wide Iron have an automatic switch-off function?
After 30 minutes of inactivity, the Wide Iron will turn off automatically to protect your surfaces. Your style. Made safer.
